Bellhaven Scottich Ale

Claymore
6 Great Divide Brewing Company Named for a medieval Scottish sword, CLAYMORE SCOTCH ALE is our tribute to the legendary “Wee Heavy” beers of Scotland. This malty, deep-ruby beauty features lots of caramel sweetness, a reserved hop profile, and a subtle warming character. Unlike its namesake, this beer only requires one hand, but it’ll still make you feel like nobility.
Dirty Bastard
6 Founders Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer "ain't fer the wee lads."
Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale
5 Monday Night Brewing A roasty scotch ale with a hint of smoke. Full-bodied, but not overpowering. Smokey, but not in a creepy bar kind of way. Sweet, but not obnoxiously so. Sound like your ideal mother-in-law? Fair enough, but it also is a pretty dead-on description of our Scotch Ale. In a difficult hop-growing climate, Scottish brewers relied on other ingredients to impart flavor and bitterness – one such ingredient was smoked malt. Drafty Kilt is a dark, malty bombshell of a beer. Hops: Columbus and Willamette hops Grain Bill: Includes cherrywood-smoked malt, chocolate malt, and roasted barley 26 IBU
Fraoch Heather Ale
7 Williams Brothers Brewed in Scotland since 2000 B.C. heather ale is probably the oldest style of ale still produced in the world. From an ancient Gaelic recipe for "leann fraoich" (heather ale) it has been revived and reintroduced to the Scottish culture. Into the boiling bree of malted barley sweet gale and flowering heather are added then after cooling slightly the hot ale is poured into a vat of fresh heather flowers where it infuses for an hour before being fermented.
French Toast Bastard
7 Founders Backwoods Bastard gets the 4-star breakfast treatment. Our malty and rich bourbon barrel-aged Scotch ale is introduced to smooth maple syrup, warm cinnamon and sweet vanilla for an incredibly decadent brunch-inspired sipper. One taste and you’d swear you were digging into your Sunday morning French toast. Breakfast for dinner, anyone?

Heavy Horse
5 Big Sky Heavy Horse Scotch Ale is a full bodied, full flavored ale. Deep Garnet red in color, with a dense creamy head. Heavy Horse is fermented at a lower temperature and the water is softened to be closer to that found in Scotland.
Kilt Lifter
5 Moylan's Robust and Strapping , Our Scotch Ale takes BIG Beers to a whole new level. Rich malt balances perfectly with delicate hops to provide a concentrated and intense flavor; an ideal companion for hearty foods, or as a meal unto itsself. 6 Erie Brewing Wee Heavy Ale: Wee Heavy Ale: Powerful caramel malt flavor, finishing climatically with a smooth warming sensation. Deep Red. Erie Brewing presents the Beer formally known as Red Ryder BIG BEER - A beer dubiously awarded two cease and desist letters for its name. Ol’ Red Cease and Desist brings more to the table than just a big malty flavor and climaxing warming sensation…a legal record! This beer so recognized and loved by many deserves a unique name to match its unique history. What better name than Ol’ Red Cease and Desist – a name inspired by the long arm of the law!
Old Chub

Piper Down
0 Ballast Point Brewing Co. A Scottish ale with San Diego spirit. Our Piper Down Scottish Ale hits all the right notes for the Ballast Point Bagpipe Corps that inspired it. We created this very low hopped, malty ale for the band to enjoy using UK Maris Otter malt, roasted barley, UK hops and low fermentation temperatures. Then we let the brew’s sweet complexity build over a three-hour boil. Full of roasted caramel flavor, it’s a pub classic with Ballast Point personality.

Rye Kwon Do
7 Darkhorse Brewed for Ashley's 30th Anniversary. A rye version of their Scotty Karate Scotch Ale: For those of you who don't know who "Scotty Karate" is... He is a local one man band who plays an amazing slurry of honky tonk influenced, punk country songs. His voice is amazing as well as his high energy shows. (Check him out @ www.scottykarate.com) So, we decided to make a beer and name it in his honor. This beer is a big, full bodied Scottish ale. It is 9.75% alc. but it is very smooth and balanced. Since Scotty is also very passionate about beer I asked him to write a description for you, so from the man himself... Aroma: Smells like A fresh caramel apple with a hint of cinnamon inside of cranberry shortbread. Or maybe fresh home made hard candy (from home economics class-7th grade). Flavor: Tastes like a smokey chocolate chip cookie, wild roadside cherry-asparagus, woody, crispy leaf on a fall day. -SK
Scotty Karate (Bourbon Barrel)
8 Dark Horse Nose is lots of Bourbon caramel, brown sugar, strawberries. Deep sweetness some alcohol heat. Great woody molasses finish.

Sierra Nevada Scotch Ale
4 Sierra Nevada Sierra Nevada’s Scotch Ale is a dark amber hued ale. It has a sweet nose with just a bit of earth in the undertone. The taste is warm yet very accessible with a clean, refreshing finish.
Snow & Tell
0 Boulevard Brewing Co. At 6.3 ABV, Snow & Tell is composed of our base pale malt, crystal/caramel malt, amber malt and just a touch of Beechwood smoked malt from Germany. At just under 1% of the total malt bill, the smoked malt lends subtle complexity without overpowering the layers of caramel and toffee flavors contributed by the crystal malt. Hopped with Magnum, Chinook and Styrian Goldings, Snow & Tell sees brief aging on medium toasted oak chips at the end of fermentation.
The Kipper
6 Witch's Hat Intensely malty with just a hint of smoke and fruit. Brewed with traditional Golden Promise malt.
Traquair House Ale
7 Traquair A handmade ale brewed in the ancient brew house of the oldest inhabited house in Scotland. Brown with ruby hues and an off-white head. Sweet tastes of smoked malt, raisins and caramel. The production of Traquair House Ale consists of an infusion mash, after which the wort is drawn off and boiled with the hops. The wort is cooled and pitched with bottom fermenting yeast under controlled temperature. It is then fermented in oak over a period of seven days. The beer is transferred into cold storage tanks or barrels and matured over a period of weeks. After maturation the beer is filtered prior to packing.
Traquair Jacobite Ale
