Nine
6 Kuhnhenn A brown, Belgian-style abbey ale. Caramel, banana, biscuit and fruity-aromas contribute to the balance of this strong, complex beer. A sweet, bready and caramel flavor follows with a silky, creamy finish.
.08.08.08 Vertical Epic Ale
6 Stone In 2008, Stone Brewmasters Steve Wagner and Mitch Steele traveled to Belgium, where they enjoyed a number of hop-driven Belgian tripels, pale ales and IPAs—beers that had taken a cue from the U.S. craft brewing movement and inspired us in return. Upon their return, they crafted Stone 08.08.08 Vertical Epic Ale, the seventh beer in the 11-beer Stone Vertical Epic Ale series. Packed with floral, spicy essence from Belgian yeast plus plenty of hoppy New World character, it’s our West Coast take on hop-driven Belgian beers.
09.09.09 Vertical Epic Ale
6 Stone This is quite a complex and layered beer. Bold and smooth chocolate malt flavors combine with a Belgian yeast lending tropical fruit/banana flavors and hints of spiciness, all complemented by citrus notes from an addition of tangerine peel. Rich vanilla beans add a nice counter to the chocolate malt - actually enhancing the chocolatiness. The finish is smooth, with additional traces of vanilla and toasted characters from French Oak. The goal for this edition of the Stone Vertical Epic Ale series is to be reminiscent of artisanal chocolates accentuated with orange.
10 Blinks Cherry Saison
5 Arbor Brewing Company This well balanced, smooth, light-medium bodied summer sipper is abundant with the flavors and scents of a Michigan-ripe cherry. Sweet and fruity on the nose, light and malty with strong tastes of stone fruit, finishes with a slow burn like a fine wine.
11.11.11 Vertical Epic Ale
7 Stone Ale brewed with Anaheim chiles and cinnamon
12.12.12 Vertical Epic Ale
7 Stone Belgian strong ale pours very black with a small coffee head with no retention or lacing. Heavily spiced aromas. Cloves overpower, but also cinnamon along with a sweet toffee malt backbone.
1825
6 Greenbush Brewing Co. A Belgian-Style Strong Ale with a little something extra. 1825… is that a year or a beer? An address or the number of nights you don't remember from your youth? In any case, our 1825 Belgian Strong Ale defies logic with its golden ale roots and slight extra punch.
19th Anniversary
6 Avery The hallmark of Belgian Triples are fruity esters balanced with a dry finish that fall in the range of 7-9% ABV. And for this year’s 19th anniversary celebratory brew, we decided to create a stylistically perfect beer—something unusual considering our penchant for producing eccentric beers that defy styles or categories.
21st Anniversary Ale
7 Arcadia This golden, bright, funky sour ale is a celebration of flavors as well as Arcadia Brewing Company's 21st Anniversary! This unique ale started with a base of strong golden and brown ales, blended with barrel-aged sour ale, and a multi-strain culture pitched after primary fermentation. The addition of peaches and apricots during the aging process gives this ale strong flavors of tropical fruit, as well as a pleasant acidity, mild barrel flavor, and warming character. Funk aromas mimic fermented peaches and apricots, paired with a mild oak and alcohol heat. A dry mouthfeel with bright carbonation rounds out this unique and delightfully complex wild ale. Purchase a bottle-conditioned, limited edition bottle and let the flavors develop!
2x4 Ale
6 Sierra Nevada Oak aged Belgian Strong Ale
3 Monts Flanders Golden Ale
0 Brasserie De Saint-Sylvestre
6 Geese-A-Laying
7 The Bruery 6 Geese-A-Laying is the 6th beer in our "12 Days of Christmas" series and is a return to the more classic dark and toasty winter ale, following the appropriately blonde 5 Golden Rings. Brewed with cape gooseberries, this malty ale displays notes of plums, dark cherry and bright, citrus-like flavors from the namesake berries. Delicious right now, but suitable for aging up to 6 years, upon the release of 12 Drummers Drumming.
7 Swans-A-Swimming
7 The Bruery 7 Swans-A-Swimming is the 7th beer in our “12 Days of Christmas” series. For this verse of the story, we chose the path we don’t often take – we brewed to style. No bells, no whistles, just our best take on the Belgian Quadrupel style. Brewed with nothing but water, malt, yeast, hops and a bit of Belgian dark candi sugar, this beer may not be as out-of-the-box as some of our past winter brews, but it’s just as tasty. Rich and complex, this robust dark ale juggles notes of raisin bread, dried apricots, burnt caramel and roasted pecans. The sweet flavors provide a full body and the bright yeast wafts the sweet holiday notes out of the glass, into your life. 7 Swans-A-Swimming is a perfect holiday sipper. Delicious right now, but suitable for aging up to 5 years, upon the release of 12 Drummers Drumming.

Adelardus Tripel
5 Brouwerij Kerkom Adelardus abbey beer is the youngest descendant of our beers. This dark brown beer was made for the open house days of the abbey. Adelardus was one of the most important abbots for the abbey of Trudo and the city Sint-Truiden. He built the tower and rebuilded the existing church into one of the most monumental churches of that time. The ingredients are: brewing liqour, malt, yeast, hop, candy and ‘sweet gale’. ‘Sweet gale’ is a mixture of ten spices from the region, which gives the beer his typical flavour. The alcohol content of this abbey beer is 7% vol.alc.

4 Arbor Brewing Gorgeous copper-orange ale with a rich, enticing aroma of oranges and lemongrass. Crisp and refreshing on the palate. A perfect blend of malt, spice, and sweet and zesty hints of citrus.
Bon Papa
4 Vivant A truly inspired style. We draw influence from the region of Northern France, where farmhouse ales are king, and splice in our own American roots by building an IPA recipe. Bursting with both farmhouse tartness and citrus hoppiness, this beer drinks well after a day spent tilling the fields or a day behind a desk.
Bourbon Barrel Quad
8 Boulevard Brewing Co. This abbey-style quadrupel is separated into a number of oak bourbon barrels where it ages for varying lengths of time, some for up to three years. Cherries are added to make up for the “angel's share” of beer lost during barrel aging. Selected barrels are then blended for optimum flavor. The resulting beer retains only very subtle cherry characteristics, with toffee and vanilla notes coming to the fore.

Buckin' Monk Tripel
7 Big Sky Big Sky Brewing's Buckin' Monk Tripel is brewed using traditional ingredients and techniques. The complex flavor and mouthfeel are a result of three types of grains used; wheat, barley and oats. Eight different belgian yeast strains and choice hallertau tradition hops further enhance the distinct character and aroma profiles. Temperature controlled bottle conditioning provides a wonderful sparkling finish. So climb on and let'er buck!
Cantillon Lou Pepe Framboise
7 Cantillon Deliciously sour with hints of tart, ripe raspberries. The Lou Pepe Framboise is a blend of three different 2-year-old lambics. The simple idea behind the special Lou Pepe blend is that it should have much more of the taste of old lambic, which is of course much harder, drier, more sour, and more complex than the young stuff. This being framboise, it has to be spritzy, so the brewery opted for the same method used in conditioning champagne: everyday refined sugar is dissolved in water and added to cause a refermentation. The sugar ferments out completely, so there is no residual sweetness.
Captain Fantasy
4 Short's/Half Acre For Captain Fantasy, the brewers decided to make a saison, but wanted to dress it up a bit. They added pear and some very exclusive hops from Japan called Sorachi Ace. The result is a lighter bodied ale with a pale goldenrod color and subtle haze. Satisfying aromas of nutmeg and spice blend with bright fruity hop fragrances. A lively amount of carbonation cleanses and refreshes while leading into flavors of sweet pear, tart lemon, and pleasant herbal subtleties. The overall fruitiness is abruptly interrupted by an assertive hop bitterness that dominates the finish, turning noticeably dry.
Catalina Wine Mixer

Collaboration not Litigation Ale
6 Avery & Russian River Salvation. The name of two intricate Belgian-style ales, created by us, Vinnie Cilurzo of Russian River Brewing and Adam Avery of Avery Brewing. After becoming friends a few years ago, we realized we both had a Salvation in our lineups. Was it going to be a problem? Should one of us relinquish the name rights? “Hell, no!” we said. In fact, it was quickly decided that we should blend the brews to catch the best qualities of each and create an even more complex and rich libation. In April 2004, in a top secret meeting at Russian River Brewing (well, actually it was packed in the pub and many were looking over our shoulders wondering what the hell was going on), we came up with the perfect blend of the two Salvations.
Contemplation
4 Vivant Clover honey added during the boil contributes color and complexity but adds no sweetness to the beer as the sugars are broken down during fermentation. Look for whispers of apricot and nectarine on the palate, mixed with the floral aroma of the hops grown in northern Michigan.

The Rood is a blond beer, very similar to what used to be the Gouden Carolus Easter Beer. This is a warm rich beer that is brewed, like the traditional Cuvee Van De Keizer, once a year. During the brewing process several types of malt and three types of spices are used. This golden blond ale has an alcohol concentration of 10% creating a full and balanced taste that will appeal to the demanding beer taster.

De Proefbrouwerij Signature Ale
5 De Proefbrouwerij A stylish and artistic collaborative brewing effort that combines the enormous talents of Dirk Naudts, at Belgium’s De Proef Brewery, and Tomme Arthur of Port Brewing and Lost Abbey in southern California. Aroma is of apricots, banana, and peach. Light malty aroma. Taste is more of the same, but with that signature Belgian flavor from the yeast. Reminds me of a fantastic tripel with added flavors. Palate is medium body, good heft. Some moderate carbonation. Not too heavy nor too light.
Dead Monk Abbey Ale
6 Dragonmead This Belgian beer is brewed in the style of the Trappist Monks. Belgian Candi Sugar, Pilsen, Aromatic and Caramunich malts are balance by E. Kent Goldings, Mt. Hood and Saaz hops to construct a "Big Beer". Traditional White Beer Yeast is used to make this beer have a large mouth-feel and lingering spice notes in the finish. O.G. 1.085, ABV 8.0%

Our interpretation of this rare Belgian stye was created by aging our Larry Hoppe Double IPA for six months in gueuze-innoculated oak casks and then bottle conditioning for a minimum of two months. The result is a unique ale with a bright golden hue, moderate carbonation, and a burst of complex fruity, spicy, sweet-tart, and earthy flavors, with a quenching acidity in the finish. As with most bottle-conditioned ales, there may be a thin layer of sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Dolly Dagger
5 Short's Dolly Dagger (7.4% ABV, 75 IBU) harmoniously joins big sweet malt aromatics with signature fruit and spice yeast characteristics. Flavors of toasted grain, caramel, dark fruit, and clove provide a perfect precursor to the substantial bitter contributions from the exclusive use of high-alpha Bravo hops. The end result is a balanced blend of big grain sweetness, intense hop bitterness, and unmistakable yeast qualities.
Duchesse Cherry
0 Brouwerij Verhaeghe-Vichte Duchesse Cherry is a blend of 1 and 2 year-old Duchesse de Bourgogne with local, sour cherries added to the maturing beer. The malt beverage is aged in oak casks, and utilizing whole cherries from the Limburg region of Belgium, as opposed to cherry syrup that is sometimes used in cherry beer production, Duchesse Cherry truly lives up to its name.
Duchesse de Bourgogne
7 Brouwerij Verhaeghe-Vichte A traditional Flemish sour ale. Duchesse is matured in oak casks; smooth with a rich texture and interplay of passion fruit and chocolate and a long, dry and acidic finish. After the first and second fermentations, the beer goes into oak barrels for 18 months of maturation. Refreshing, yet quite sour ale with low to negligible bitterness. One of Ashley's most unique beers.
Dulle Teve 10º
7 De Dolle Brouwers De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned. De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.
Duvel
6 Duvel Pours a hazy golden color. Great head retention, as it laces the sides of the glass as the head eventually dissipates. Nose is clean and fruity with citrus, sweet malts, pepper, and spice. A light fruitiness of orange and lemon up front with a nice blend of sweet malts and bitter and spicy hops.
E.S. Bam
5 Jolly Pumpkin Extra Special Farmhouse Ale A Bam celebration of excess. More malt, more hops, same vivacious personality.
Eau Benite
5 Unibroue Belgian type ale with triple fermentation. L’Eau Bénite is a golden ale with a slightly fruity taste and a light spicy aromatic flavor.
Egoiste
5 Vivant Hints of rich dark chocolate erupt from Heidelberg Beechwood-smoked malt. Ancho chiles lend a subtle sweetness and smokiness to turn up the complexity on this one. It's the Brewer's favorite beer. Better grab a pull before they do.
Eik Zon
5 Arbor Brewing Company A big, floral, citrusy nose with hints of blood orange, brett and oak. This refreshingly sour, light bodied IPA is reminiscent of lemon grass and has a strong oak character carries through to a very dry finish.
Eruption
4 The Livery Brewed in collaboration with Brewery Vivant (Grand Rapids) and Arbor Brewing/Corner Brewery (Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti) for The Livery’s 7th anniversary. Hazy light amber with a small frothy head and spotty lace. The aroma has a sour pitty and slightly funk character, with floral hops and a touch of caramel and biscuit. The taste develops a very nice twangy light fruit and acidic note along with some earthy and coppery tones. This lively and easy drinking, moderately dry finish beer was fermented entirely in sour wood barrels.
Escoffier
6 Vivant - New Belgium Collaboration The beer is deep amber in color, fairly dry with a mild spiciness from spelt grain used in the mash. It has some funk and wild character from a wild bretta yeast. It utilizes the house yeast strain from Brewery Vivant’s and a house strain of wild yeast called Brettanomyces Bruxellensis from New Belgium.
EVIL OVERLORD
6 Original Gravity A high octane Strong Dark Belgian Ale. Almost black in color with an inviting aroma of banana, caramel and dried fruit. Medium body beer with complex flavors from malted barley, wheat, and imported Belgium dark candi syrup. Dangerously evil.
Evil Urges
7 Short's Belgian dark strong ale
Exeter
4 Short's Exeter is an American Sour Ale fermented with strawberry and lemon. Ruby red in color with an initial head that dissipates quickly, Exeter has a big sour fruit aroma with just a hint of lemon. A mouth puckering tart strawberry and sour lemon flavor is complemented by a growing sweetness. The finish is very dry.
Farmhand
5 Vivant Saison Slight in body, mildly sweet with a slight cloudiness from simple un-malted grains.
Farmhouse Hatter
4 New Holland Farmhouse Ales were originally brewed as “Provision Beers” by farmers in Belgium and France, brewed in the winter months to be consumed during hot summer work days. They were traditionally brewed light and refreshing to aid in both hydration and energy. Wheat and Pilsner malts were used to lighten up the body of this Mad Hatter version. It was also fermented hot with a strain of Belgian Saison yeast to develop flavors of green apple, pepper and fresh cut hay. Brewed for Hatter Days!

Fils a' Papa
5 De Leite Fils-A-Papa is an amber beer with a diverse pallet of flavours. At tastings, we heard ‘wood, full, rich, chocolate, smoked, whisky, herbs, Guinness-alike…’ The Fils à Papa has indeed a very rich and complex flavour exclusively created by the used malts. Nothing else was added to this beer.
Final Absolution
7 Dragonmead Banana and clove aromas with a generous dose of Belgian candi sugar. The Saaz hop addition helps to give this trippel beer a balanced bitterness with no noticeable hop aroma.
Flambouyant Wild Red
8 Arbor Brewing Company A unique ale with a bright mahogany hue and moderate carbonation. Flamboyant Wild Red features a a burst of complex fruity, spicy, sweet-tart, and earthy flavors with a quenching acidity in the finish. Our interpretation of this classic Belgian style was created by aging our Jackhammer Olde Ale for six months in gueuze-inoculated oak casks and then bottle conditioning for a minimum of two months.

Foederbier
0 Rodenbach
Foret Blanche
4 Dupont Foret Blanche is a foggy golden honeycomb color. Compared to standard Witbiers, the taste concentrates more on the yeasty bread- like flavors versus the lightly sour fruity tastes. You’ll pick up the signature Dupont slightly funky yeast signature. But, the funk is accompanied by a butterscotch aroma, laced with orange, coriander, white pepper, lavender, hibiscus, hop tartness and wheat. If you love Saisons and Wit beers this is going to be a wonderful discovery. Highly quaffable.
Forgotten Tales Of The Last Gypsy Vol 2
5 Jolly Pumpkin A blend of equal parts of Roja du Kriek, and Lupulo De Helio, with a dash of Madrugada Obscura.
Four Witches
5 New Holland As we kick off our Summer seasonal, Golden Cap saison, we’re excited to roll out a single-batch seasonal, “Four Witches” black saison. It’s an opportunity to explore flavor within a remarkably interpretive style. Saisons are intriguing beers as they have traditional roots, yet are a delicious forum for variation and development.
Framboozled
5 Arbor Brewing Company The newest addition to the sour series is richly complex and reminiscent of brandy-soaked dark fruits, toasted nuts, and a sweet balsamic reduction. Framboozled features a hint of barnyard funk from extended barrel aging in the presence of friendly microbes. This amazing brew is a year in the making. We start with our slightly boozy 7.25% Strawberry Blonde, brewed with orange peel, coriander, and strawberries. Then we age it in gueuze-inoculated oak barrels for at least nine months, finally re-fermenting it with whole raspberries before bottle-conditioning. Framboozled’s dark and brooding flavor profile pairs like an earthy Bordeaux, a spicy Red Zinfandel, or a Cabernet Sauvignon. Think big juicy steak, roast duck, sharp hard cheese, or rich dark chocolate.

Fuego del Otono
6 Jolly Pumpkin - To catch a bit of soft radiance in each bottle, we wait for fall colors to begin their bright and fleeting glow before brewing this wonderful ale under their autumn fire. Gentle amber malt blend smooth caramel notes, gently lapping against a shore of distant forgotten spice. A beer to sip, contemplate and enjoy.

Gammaredux
6 Jolly Pumpkin GAMMAREDUX is the sequel to our beloved GAMMADELUXE, a collaboration we brewed with our good friends at Jester King Brewery. We couldn’t get enough of the first Sour IPA so we decided to switch up the hops and see what deliciousness might come forth. Receiving a massive dry hop addition of over 5lbs of hops per barrel of beer, this Sour IPA erupts with notes of juicy grapefruit, candied lemon, pine, and pink starburst. These flavors pair perfectly with its subtle dryness and our signature Jolly Pumpkin funk.
Golden Cap
5 New Holland Golden Cap Saison is a modern interpretation of a traditional farmhouse ale. A soft, pale beer, Golden Cap embodies the flavors and aromas of summer fields. Brewed with an ancestor of wheat called spelt, its straw-colored body, lively carbonation and a unique fermentation profile evoke fresh cut hay and cracked peppercorn.
Golden Monkey
5 Victory Enchanting and enlightening, this golden, frothy ale boasts an intriguing herbal aroma, warming alcohol esters on the tongue and light, but firm body to finish. Exotic spices add subtle notes to both the aroma and flavor. Strong, sensual and satisfying.
Good Harbor Golden Ale
6 Leelanau (Jolly Pumpkin) Inspired by Franco-Belgian bière de gardes, but not exactly fitting the profile of its European counterparts, this beer is best described as a Michigan Bière de Garde. Symphony of aromas wafting from the lofty, lacey head burgeoning from our tulip glass. Subtle notes of peaches, apricots, canned pineapple, bitters, and a faint herbaceousness belie the smooth and delicate taste. The slightly malty, fruity body quickly transitions effortlessly to a crisp, dry and somewhat tart finish. Signature hints of French oak and the complex yeast character place this all-natural beer among the best saisons, stock ales, and farmhouse styles of Michigan, France & Belgium.
Gouden Carolous "Cuvee van de Keizer Blauw"
7 Het Anker The unique brewing of the Cuvee van de Keizer, with only extra fine Belgian hops and with a higher alcohol level of 11%, guarantees this beer to age excellently over several years time with a complexity and intensity usually reserved for the finest of wines. Attesting to the innate mystery and intensity of a cellerable beer is this brew's beautiful ruby brown, almost henna color. With a light-brown, velvety head and sweet, powerful notes of wood, yeast, and plums, the Cuvee surprises one's palate with subtle hints of caramel and even fresh green apples. Drinking a Carolus is a fully sensory experience, so be certain to breathe in its fruity, almost delicate aroma that complements a richly roasted malted, yet softly dense body. It's a truly sugary brew in every sense, erring on the natural, fresh and refreshing side of sweetness.
Gouden Carolous Ambrio
6 Het Anker Quite complex, yet well balanced, this beer is as entirely palatable as its bracing, yeasty, banana aroma and fascinating deep magenta-amber color could imply. Described by its brewers as, "a perfect harmony between the powerful taste of brown beers and the freshness of blonds" Ambrio has a pithy sweetness - combining the tangy fresh pear, dried fruits, fig, berry, and citrus with late floral notes prolonged by a lightly carbonated finish. Earthy isn't the final bow for this brew, though! Ambrio's final flourish is its bitter hop edge - Challenger and Goldings hops, to be exact – that tempers the yeasty and sweet caramelized malt tone for a tart and silky close.
Gouden Carolous Christmas
7 Het Anker Breathe in the complex perfume of Carolus Christmas' roasted malt, prunes, raisins in rum, and you'll be instantly understand why the Christmas spirit brings goodwill toward man! Notes of caramel, cloves, and dates add to the each complex sip – the palate is full, generous and sparkly with a velvety head. Roasted hazelnut dances with pungent black licorice-anise to recall a sweetened sharpness, while the weight of a consistent, chasing bitterness in the warming, assertively alcoholic conclusion lend a certain gravitas to balance this cheerful brew. When you're drawing in that zesty and prickly scent – spices, fruits, sugars, burning alcohol – a sight to be seen and a beer to be drank in its hazy golden cherry-brown hue, you won't be able to contain the spirit of the holidays, and you certainly won't want to.
Gouden Carolous Classic
6 Het Anker Carolus Classic, touted as "The Emperor's Beer" has the warmth of wine and the freshness of beer. A warmly brown color with deep grape undertones, its aroma is slightly sweet and malty. Extreme gravity makes for a very full body that carries its primary tastes of malt and toffee, blossoming then into dark dried fruits, sweet grapes and bananas, ending with a dark chocolate cherry essence. In the end, a mild hopped bitterness produces a dryness that balances the extremely complex flavor perfectly, leaving your palate to contemplate a lingering nuance of spices, fruits, and hops. Medium carbonation with a creamy, almost oily texture, its complexities only grow richer with age. A very cellarable beer.
Gouden Carolous Hopsinjoor
6 Het Anker The name “Hopsinjoor” is a play on words, combining “opsinjoor” which is a figure from Belgian mythology, specific from Mechelen, and hops for the hoppiness of the beer. Hopsinjoor is brewed with four types of hops, Golding, Spalt, Hallertau, and Saaz, they are used several times in the cooking to fully develop their aromas. This beer pours with a massive creamy, fluffy head that laces the entire glass. The nose of the beer is citusy, wheaty, peppery, and slightly piney. The balance between sweet citrus and the bitter of the hops creates harmony on the palate, with undertones of pine and pepper.
Gouden Carolous Triple
6 Het Anker This pure and golden brew with a large frothy white head is extremely flavored with a thick head, a thick body and singularly captivating flavor. It's clearly the quarterback of beers – big and hearty, but zippy and occasionally surprisingly intelligent. Wafting from this peculiar golden nectar is the aroma of freshly sliced peaches, citrus and bitter hops - ideal for this traditionally top-fermented fair, blonde Triple. The peppery spiciness of pine is complemented by sweet banana gum, honey notes and an especially sharp malt tone in the bulk of the taste. After the explosive, spritzy, frothy beginning there's a slight alcohol at finish, a lovely tart bittering and the buzz of satisfaction one can only get after having drank such a lively and charismatic beer.

8 Chimay Trappist Chimay Bleu is principally distinguished by its character of a strong beer. This is a beer whose fragrance of fresh yeast with a light, flowery rosy touch is especially pleasant. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.

Grisette Blanche
4 Brasserie St-Feuillien At the start of the century, in Hainaut, every small brewery produced a top-fermenting beer which was drawn from wooden barrels. This traditional beer was the pride of the local breweries and quenched the thirst of the most demanding customers! At the Friart Brewery, this beer, of which the formula is a carefully kept secret, was called the Grisette. A few years ago, the St-Feuillien Brewery decided to take up the tradition and now presents four new varieties of Grisette.

Honey Orange Tripel
6 New Belgium For this recipe, our brewers drew inspiration from Belgian Golden Strong Ale, a style we love. We sought out the very best ingredients, sourcing wild honey from the African Bronze Honey Company, a member of the Fair Trade Federation and a certified B-Corp. The Seville orange peel is freshly ground 24 hours prior to the day we brew by the Old Town Spice Shop, less than one mile from our Fort Collins, Colorado brewery. In the end, we created a big, sweet and citrusy Belgian-style Tripel with thoughtfully sourced ingredients.
Hop Tart
4 New Belgium Brewing Like Snapshot, Hop Tart undergoes lactic fermentation in a stainless steel tank, using a single lactobacillus strain we pulled from our malt and propagated in our lab. We’re really excited to combine the lemony lacto flavors with über-fruity hop varieties: Hop Tart’s brewed with the likes of Cascade and Mandarina Bavaria, and dry-hopped with Galaxy, Nelson Sauvin and Experimental Hop 522. The result is a tropical bomb with a clean, tart bite in the back.
Hop-it
7 Urthel Hildegard returned from the Anchorage Barleywine Festival inspired by the wonderfully hoppy beers she tried there. Barleywines, IPA, Double IPA and all manner of over-the-top beers sparked her creative impulse and the result is Hop-It. Brewed with only one malt (pils) and three hops (Saaz, Styrian Goldings and Magnum), it's a truly unique beer for hop lovers. Pale golden in color with billowing white foam, the nose is mildly hoppy and spicy. On the palate, it's very hoppy and intoxicatingly bitter but curiously well balanced. Although some may call this beer a “strong Belgian blond”, you’ll discover a lightly sour-sweet yeasty fruit on a par with mildly sweet pale malts and a refreshing flow of really fragrant, springy flower blossoms, orangey-citric fruity hops with a mildly mineral, chewy bitterness. The finishing undertone is a tad zesty or slightly tangy to render a intriguing contrast with the smooth flowery aftertaste, light on the carbonation, just sufficient to render a refreshing palate, against a medium body and moderate flavor profile.
Kapittel Dubbel
6 Van Eecke In our brewing process for the 7,5° dubbel we use extra winter malt . This increase in malt results in a higher alcohol content, so the yeast that feeds on the sugars in the malt is given a feast of greater proportions. By adding sugar, also known as “Belgian candy,” we can increase the activity of the yeast, and the beer gets a second fermentation in the bottle, carbonating the beer in a natural way. This gives the beer a beautiful and large froth. This fine Dubbel has a rich malt aroma of malt, yeast, dark fruit, & spice; flavors of sweet malt, yeast, caramel, dark fruit, raisons, and spice, with a faint touch of pleasant bitterness, and it fills up the gap between our 6° Pater and the 9° Prior
Kapittel Pater
4 Van Eecke Red-brown abbey ale can be considered a “single”, meaning a beer that was made for the guests of the abbey and for everyday consumption. Hazy, nearly opaque mahogany, with a deep red shining through and a small white foamy head. This is a top-fermenting ale is refermented in the bottle, which means you can age the beer for a few years. The aroma will make you think of sweet burning wood, plums, banana bread, citrus, and a little yeasty zip. Full and complex flavor, hints of smoky dark malt, lovely rolling flavors of caramel and chocolate. Due to the dark colored malt, the taste repeats a burning sense and gives us hints of sweet peaches, ending in a light hoppy bitterness .
Kapittel Prior
6 Van Eecke The Prior is the leader of a smaller abbey community. He’s the “primo inter pares” (the first among equals). With its 9 % this dark ale with has a bitter sweet taste due to the roasted malt. A slightly creamy body, with an aroma of roasted malt, yeast, caramel, & toffee; Flavor of roasted sweet malt, yeast, rich caramel, light fruit, raisons, and some spice The hoppy characteristics of all the Watou ales are prominently present, to be recognized by a persistent creamy foam Our Prior is refermented in the bottle, only good to drink after a few months aging, which is done at the brewery, and ready to be aged and enjoyed for many years.
Kapittel Triple ABT
6 Van Eecke Abt is Dutch for Abbot, meaning the leader of the Abbey. No surprise we named this beer “Abt”, since it is also the leader of the Kapittel, the beer with the highest alcohol content 10% This triple is refermented in the bottle, only good to drink after a few months aging, which is done at the brewery, and ready to be aged for up to 20 years. As most good triples, the color tends to be paler, in this case amber, with good head retention. Of course you taste the alcohol, but this is well complimented with a very complex aroma and mouth feeling. Round, malty, not very bitter (hoppy), slightly sweet (depending on age) balanced with fruity hints on the tongue. Lasting taste. A warming beer, a dessert on its own. Such triples were reserved for the Abbots and the Bishops, and on special Holy days the rest of the Abbey could feast as well on this delicious drink of the Gods
Kasteel Barista Chocolate Quad
7 Van Honsebrouk Kasteel Barista Chocolate Quad stands alone as one of the most decadent and elegant quadruples of Belgium. This 11% ABV beer pours a chestnut brown with an off-white head. Kasteel RaspBarista
7 Van Honsebrouk RaspBarista by Kasteel is a blend of the original Barista Chocolate Quad and St. Louis Framboise. The tartness of the raspberries (framboise) contrasts with bitter-dark chocolate notes in the beer. It also tones down the coffee aroma a touch. RaspBarista Chocolate Quad has an 11% ABV, with a surprisingly lighter body than most traditional quads. This beer alone can be the perfect end to a feast, but its lighter body makes it the perfect beer to pair with most decadent desserts.

This way of aging ale results in a unique, complex flavour, which varies from one type of barrel to another. Quadrupel can be conserved for many years, and is a real treat for true ale enthusiasts. Phuket:It's Not That Far From Laos
5 Jolly Pumpkin/Gigantic Brewing A 4.5 hour flight separates Phuket from Laos, which is an hour shorter than the flight from Michigan to Portland, Oregon where the folks from Gigantic Brewing Company reside. That is why a meeting in Hawai’i led to the collaboration and creation of this hoppy, lime saison. Aromas of lime, unripe pear, and the classic pineapple tinted notes of Jolly Pumpkin funk, erupt from your glass. Phuket; It’s Not That Far From Laos is light, lively, and quite dry due to the inclusion of Jasmine Rice and Palm Sugar in the mash. The final result is Piraat Triple Hop! Using Piraat as the base offers the brew a full bodied sweet based from the caramelized malt blended with dry characteristics derived from the high levels of alcohol. The brewer then adds four different hops into the brew at 3 different occasions during the brewing process (Hence Triple Hop). The hops pitched are Saaz, Tetra and Aurora twice in the brewhouse and then Cascade is used to dry hop. Poperings Hommel Bier
5 Van Eecke Especially created and brewed in 1981, for the celebration of the 3 yearly hops festivities in Poperinge, our hoppy, golden-bronze, ale Hommelbier is worldwide considered to be a tribute to the art of beer craftsmanship. Hommel is the local abbreviation of humulus, the botanical name for the hop plant. Poperings Hommelbier is made from a blend of winter, summer and aromatic pale malts, soft water, from our brewery's own well; Brewers' Gold and Challenger hops, both grown in Poperinge; and top-fermented with a very attenuative own grown yeast that precipitates quickly. It is primed with white sugar, and re-yeasted for bottle-conditioning. This ale pours a cloudy straw yellow, with a tight and fleeting white head that left decent lacing. There’s a light but inviting green hop, yeast and pale malt aroma. Palate entry is full-bodied, but refreshingly spicy and thirst quenching at colder temperatures. Mid-palate reveals citrus orange rind and grapefruit notes along with a honeysuckle sweetness that is nicely balanced by a solid Hallertau hop bill. It also has a late, spicy, cumin-seed, dryness, again from the hops. The carbonation is light, small fresh bubbles Dough and yeast in the finish.

The result is a complex yet refreshing mahogany-brown brew that is an intriguing interplay of tartness and sweetness. Its elegance and depth would make Madame Rosa Merckx proud – Liefmans’ former Brewmaster and the first Belgian woman with that title in whose honor the beer is named.

Saison de Brettaville
6 Almanac Beer Co. We love Brettanomyces! This wild yeast, also known as “Brett,” brings out a wide range of flavors and aromas in beer, from exotic fruits to earthy funk. We added a dozen different Brett strains to our dry-hopped Saison Dolores, then aged it in white wine barrels for several months. The result is an intricate farmhouse ale with the kind of nuance and depth that only Brett can create.
Saison de Lente
4 The Bruery Our Spring Saison is light blonde in color with a fresh hoppiness and a wild and rustic Brettanomyces character. Lighter in color and alcohol than our Saison Rue, yet equally complex in its own way. Perfect for warmer weather and Spring celebrations.
Saison de Silly
5 Brasserie de Silly Silly is one of the few Saison brewers that still stores a first batch of the top fermenting beer for about a year, and then blends the old beer with a fresh brewed batch. From this batch part is again stored away for a year. Balance of sweetness, bitterness and sourness (from the old beer) into a fabulous copper brown colored beer.
Saison Dupont
6 Dupont This is a delicious & textural, fizzy county ale. Citric and sour, like the combination of a good champagne and an aged lambic. A beer to behold in the U.S.óa very specific and rare form of brewing that makes its home in the complex beer country of Belgium.

Salvation
6 Avery Brewing Blond Ale The success of Hog Heaven and The Reverend clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace “BIGGER” beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker-colored predecessors. Luscious apricot and peach aromas are delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon in this heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir.
Sans Pagaie
5 The Bruery French for "without a paddle", Sans Pagaie is our take on a Belgian Kriek. We added an incredible amount of cherries (whole and pureed) to this sour blonde ale and then we decided to add more. The result is a well balanced fruited sour ale, perfect on it’s own, even better with a slice of chocolate cake.
Sapient Trip Ale
6 Dark Horse Brewing Co. Why is the Grim Reaper holding a mailbox? Well, that mailbox is from a dead Dark Horse beer. The Grim Reaper better know as "Death" was quite fond of our classic Sapient Summer Wheat Ale. When we changed it into a Belgian Style Triple, Death thought it would only be appropriate to bring something from that beer into this beer. So he picked the mailbox, and we weren’t about to argue with him. You can say what you want about him, but that Death sure has a big heart. So anyway...we brewed this beer with a Trappist yeast strain so it is very traditional. The flavors are incredibly complex with notes of mild fruit and finishes with a bit of clove. Although this beer is higher in alcohol it is very smooth and finishes dry on the palate.

Scaldis Cuvee des Trolls
5 Brasserie Dubuisson Born in 2000 in the vats of the “Le Brasse-Temps” micro-brewery created by the Brasserie Dubuisson in Louvain-La-Neuve. It is an unfiltered and therefore naturally cloudy blonde beer. Brewed exclusively from malt, hops, sugar and water, it has an alcohol volume of 7%. The use of dried orange peel during the boiling gives it the most pleasant fruity aroma, which is in the best possible harmony with a flavour that is full of roundness and finesse
Scaldis Noël
8 Dubuisson It is the custom in Belgium custom to brew a beer a bit bolder and stronger as a holiday gift to loyal patrons. At 12.5% ABV, the little Scaldis Noël bottle contains one giant beer. It has a burnished ruby-copper color and a spicy aroma with notes of caramel and marzipan and peach. The taste is round, with hints of anise leading to a long warming finish. If it is snowing and you have a Yule-tide log—fire it up and sip a Scaldis Noël—Pieter Breughel couldn’t paint a more Belgian scene!
Scaldis Peche Mel
5 Brasserie Dubuisson When the taste of peach meets the strongest beer in Belgium…Created many years ago by students as a cocktail, the Pêche Mel’Scaldis was originally a mix of equal parts Scladis Amber and peach gueuze. Brewed since 2009 by the Brasserie Dubuisson with the same rigour as the other Bush beers, made to an original recipe based on natural peach extracts, the Pêche Mel’Scaldis has what it takes to satisfy everyone who likes fruit-flavoured beers with character. The natural flavourings and extracts of the fruit complement the original bitterness of the Bush Amber to create a rounded and perfectly balanced beer.
Scaldis Triple

Show Me Sour
4 Boulevard Brewing Co. Originally brewed as a collaboration between Boulevard’s Brewmaster Steven Pauwels and Side Project Brewing owner/ brewer Cory King, Show Me Sour was inspired by their mutual admiration for low ABV, Belgian table beers. A touch of acidity, some dehusked black malts for a rich, dark color, plus a short time in whiskey barrels before being blended back with fresh beer, make for a unique and inviting beer that’s our play on a whiskey sour.

Silly Sour
6 Brasserie de Silly Wallonia, Belgium is known as the birthplace of the Saison. In the tiny town of Silly, Brasserie de Silly helped build that reputation with their dark Saison recipe that dates back to the mid 19th century. Silly Sour is a unique brew in that its the first of its kind from Wallonia to use a predominant amount of soured ale. In fact, this beer is 87% soured ale blended with 13% fresh saison. The delicate malt notes manage to break through the striking green apple sourness upfront and then give way to a finishing jolt of lactic sourness! At an approachable 5.5% ABV this chestnut colored brew adds a new page to the history of Saison brewing.
Simcoe Silly Ale

Smoked and Oaked
7 Epic Brewing Co. This is a Belgian-style strong ale but with an American fusion twist dreamt up by Epic. Using authentic Belgian-style yeast, this is a malt-driven beer with Maris Otter malt as a base and a hint of Pilsner malt. For the first twist we use smoked cherry wood malt that works it’s magic, bringing a smoky sweetness to the caramel malts and a bit of peat flavor as well. This ale then really marries together when it hits the cask. The entire batch aging in the whiskey barrels nicely dries out the perceived sweetness of the caramel malt leaving an almost scotch like taste, with smoke, bourbon, hints of vanilla, wood, aged fruit from the Belgian yeast and some peat.
Sobido
7 Arbor Brewing Company Sodibo is a sophisticated and complex ale with a bright golden hue and moderate carbonation. It features a burst of complex fruity, spicy, sweet-tart, and earthy flavors with a quenching acidity in the finish. History Our interpretation of this rare Belgian style was created by aging our spiced Belgian-style Blonde for six months in gueuze-inoculated oak casks and then bottle conditioning for a minimum of two months.

Much in the same way, our Imperial Cherry Saison undergoes subtle but noticable changes while cruising from kettle to bright tank. Like the sun ripening fruit, a pit stop makes this beer better. Cherry Saison is aged with French Oak staves, imparting overtones of spice and balancing the natural sweetness of the cherries. Cherry Saison is the first in this series to incorporate oak aging. Enjoy it as a dessert beer, or tilt it back while sitting under a shady tree on a warm summer afternoon.

4 Spencer Brewery Our recipe was inspired by the traditional refectory ales known as patersbier (“fathers’ beer” in Flemish) in Belgium. These sessionable beers are brewed by the monks for their dinner table and are typically only available at the monastery. Spencer is a full-bodied, golden-hued ale with fruity accents, a dry finish and light hop bitterness. The beer is unfiltered and unpasteurized, preserving live yeast that naturally carbonates the beer in the bottle and keg and contributes to the beer flavor and aroma.

Your first sip embraces you with alcoholic warmth and the dry finish leaves you wanting more.
St. Feuillien La Blanche
4 St. Feuillien A summer seasonal Wit beer from the St. Feuillien brewery. La Blanche from St-Feuillien reflects a unique combination of white beer and triple characteristics, thirst-quenching, aroma, high density and bitterness. The colour is slightly blonde with an opaque, cloudy appearance. Its head is creamy, white and compact. It has a distinctive aroma of wheat beer with a delicate note of orange peel. The body shows a contrasted blend of light bitterness which become more and more intense and the wheat beer thirst-quenching characteristic. This beer has an impressive lingering taste.
St. Feuillien Saison
4 St. Feuillien St. Feuillien's Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savor of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde ale , is a top fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavor full of nuances and a slight tang.
St. Louis Fond Tradition Gueuze
6 Van Honsebrouk All those pungent fruity flavors - sensuous grape, fermented apples, zesty lemons, ripe peaches--- mingle with the rustic musty yeast note that lend the Gueuze both modern crispness and that traditional, old-school Belgian lambic musty spice. This is, for the most part, a traditional Gueuze, brewed in small batches -- infused with a perfume of farm-fresh horse-blanket whose medium-body and has a sour fruit, dry taste that lingers like the sun setting over a field of fine Northern European hops.
St. Louis Framboise
0 Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck
St. Martin Brune
6 Brunehaut A dark burgundy, top-fermented Abbey Beer with a full body. With its aroma of caramel and liquorice, this dark beer can be drunk at room temperature.
Stan The Man
4 Harsens Island Brewery A saison with soft malt character with a moderate alcohol presence. Moderate hop flavor and bitterness complimented by fruity esters.
Stone 10.10.10 Vertical Epic Ale
7 Stone This ninth edition of our Stone Vertical Epic Ale series takes two interesting left turns. A Belgian-style golden triple is the starting point of this beer, but the first left turn is nearly immediate with the addition of dried chamomile flowers, triticale, and Belgian amber candi sugar. The second, and rather unusual left turn takes us half an hour up the road from Stone to Temecula courtesy of the addition of just-pressed Muscat, Gewurztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc grapes from our friends at South Coast Winery. As the Stone Vertical Epic Ale series has moved through the calendar, we found that the brewing schedule for a 10.10.10 release coincided nicely with the grape harvest, neatly providing an interesting twist in this epic ale.
Stone Saison
4 Stone A taste of our homespun farm-to-tableism is provided in this farmhouse ale stoked with lemon zest, plus lemon thyme and lavender straight from Stone Farms. This spring-to-summer saison is citric and herbal on the palate with a dry, peppery finish. Thanks to the infusion of fresh West Coast ingredients, this isn’t your everyday saison. It’s our saison—100% Stone.
Stonefruit Sour
4 Vivant A foeder-aged sour ale with fruit that is part of the Plein De Vie Series.
Summer Camp Saison
4 Arbor Brewing Company This sweet and tart Saison is the perfect balance of smooth and bitter from its green apple-like bite to its strong notes of bready malt. Apples with a hint of fresh lemon on the nose lead to a strong fruity taste with peppery-bready notes. Finishes dry with the lust for another sip.
Sur Mosaic
4 To Ol Sur is Danish for sour and Mosaic refers to the hop that this beer is based upon. This is a sour mashed 6% pale ale, where we have tried to give a traditional Pale Ale an lactic acid backbone. The lactic acid comes with acidity, but also a fatness that works really well with the mosaic hop, that gives clear notes of tropical fruits like mango and passion fruit.
Tank 7
5 Boulevard Brewing Co. Beginning with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, the flavor of this complex, straw-colored ale tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.
Tart Lychee-Lips of Faith
5 New Belgium Brewing According to Lauren, the imaginator of this pucker-pleasing ale, Lychee fruit is so insanely sweet and flavorful you almost can’t stand it alone. Sour to the rescue! Tarte Blanche
4 Odd Side Ales Sour wheat with MI white wine grapes
Tell-Tale Tart
5 Boulevard Brewing Co. The subtle acidity of Tell-Tale Tart is answered by a soft, biscuity malt character, making this a sour ale that suggests, rather than announcing its tartness. Beginning with a bracing sharpness at first sip, the ale mellows on the palate to a smooth and faintly lingering finish.
Ten Ninety Imperial Black Saison
7 Ten Ninety Brewing Co. A big...no...really big Saison brewed in collaboration with our friends at Pollyanna Brewing Company in Lemont, IL. This beer is brewed with an assortment of highly kilned and black roasted malts to accent a subtle hop spiciness and the unique fruitiness of Chicago’s own, Omega Yeast Labs, proprietary Saison yeast strain. This is a farmhouse ale with an urban approach.
The Beast
8 Avery Brewing Grand Cru The Beast is a seducer – accomodating, complicated, powerful, dark and created to last the ages. With a deep burgundy color and aromas of honey, nutmeg, mandarin orange and pineapple, this massive and challenging brew has flavors akin to a beautiful Carribean rum. Dates, plums, raisins and molasses are dominant in a rich vinous texture. Cellarable for 10+ years.
The Klucking Kat
5 Witch's hat a beer with the guts to stand on it’s own – no category needed
The Ogden
6 Goose Island William Ogden opened Chicago’s first brewery. He was the city’s first mayor. And he added the North Brand channel to the Chicago River that created the island from which we take our name. Three good reasons why we gave our first-ever Belgian Style Tripel his name. We dry hopped The Ogden with American Citra® and Brewer’s Gold hops to add spicy, tropical flavors. Then we fermented it with a unique Belgian yeast to give it a bold, complex palate.
The Reverend
7 Avery Brewing Quadrupel The Reverend, was created in tribute to the life of Sales Mgr. Tom Boogaard’s grandfather, an ordained Episcopal Reverend. Tom was inspired by the life of his grandfather and wanted to create a tribute beer that contained his sterling traits. True to the spirit and character of the departed Reverend, this beer is strong willed, assertive, and pure of heart. Our brewers included as many authentic imported Belgian specialty malts as they could, making this the perfect beer for folks who love malty beers and are ready to take the next step. A divinely complex and beautifully layered beer with hints of dark cherries, currants, and molasses, complimented by an underlying spiciness. Sinfully smooth considering the high alcohol content.
The Stoic
8 Deschutes Brewery The stoic malt beverage brewed with pomegranate with 16.5% being aged in oak wine barrels and 16.5% being aged in oak rye whiskey barrels.
The Wanderer
5 The Bruery To achieve the ideal profile of The Wanderer, the majority of the blend features wine barrel-aged sour ale with blackberries and cherries. We then folded a small portion of our bourbon barrel-aged anniversary ale into it for additional layers of oak, vanilla and toffee, accentuating the dark fruit notes and delightfully sour tinge. Whether it’s a trip down memory lane or your first experience with these flavors, we hope you enjoy the journey.
The Wild One
5 Bell's Every batch of Wild One begins not as a single beer, but as dozens of distinct batches fermented in wooden barrels, each with its own unique combination of wild yeasts & other microorganisms. After several months, the brewers then sample each of the barrels and blend to taste, selecting the desired flavor attributes from this array. The result is a refreshing tartness, supporting a heady fragrance of fruit, toasted oak, & vanilla.
Three Philosophers

Realbeer.com, the internet’s largest beer website, hosted a contest called “Create a Great Beer.” Brewery Ommegang was chosen by Realbeer.com to brew the Belgian-style ale for the winning essayist. Noel Blake, a home brewer from Portland wrote the winning description for what his “dream beer” would be like.

Tower of Sour
6 Vivant The tower we refer to here is our 40-barrel French oak foeder. It’s a large wooden tank that holds beer, allowing it to ferment with the wild yeasts already present in the oak. This beer was first debuted at our Wood-Aged Beer Festival in September 2016. Aged for six months in oak, this malty-forward ale presents a subtle chocolate, coffee roastiness, but has taken on a distinctly sour character from the wild yeast.

Trade Winds Tripel
5 The Bruery Our Summer seasonal, Trade Winds Tripel is a Belgian-style Golden Ale with a Southeast Asian twist. Instead of using candi sugar (typical for such a beer), we use rice in the mash to lighten the body and increase the gravity, and spice with Thai Basil. The result is an aromatic, digestible and complex beer made for a lazy summer evening.
Tramp Stamp
5 Clown Shoes Beer Like a stamp on a tramp, this beer is about not so subtle seduction. Soft but complex malts, Chambly yeast, sweet orange peel, Columbus, Amarillo, and Centennial hops have merged to create a bodacious Belgian IPA.
Transatlantique Kriek
6 New Belgium Brewing In a never-ending quest to create new beers and defy category, New Belgium Brewing and Brewerij Boon of Belgium have partnered together again to create Transatlantique Kriek - a spontaneously fermented lambic ale made with Polish cherries. This authentic kriek beer began life in the oaken vessels at Frank Boon's brewery in the Lembeek region of Belgium. After more than two years aging, Boon's offering shipped across the Atlantic and found its way to the intuitive palate of New Belgium's Brewmaster Peter Bouckaert. After much sampling and internal consultation, Peter and his brew staff created a full-bodied golden lager to round out the light-bodied kriek. The cherry nose gives way to a pleasingly sour flash across the palate that rolls gently into a slightly sweet finish. Crisp, effervescent carbonation keeps the mouthfeel bright and delightfully tingly.

Live the Bon Vivant!
Troubadour Antigoon
5 The Musketeers You may have taken a draw of this Belgian brew in the past, during your afternoon "client relations" meetings at Brasserie Beck. The double blonde was developed with the help of some intense Belgian brewers (as if there’s any other kind) known as the Brouwerij De Musketiers, and it actually helped Thor Cheston, Beck’s beer director, get knighted by the beer guild in Brussels. And now, for the first time, they’re bottling it. It comes in a 750ml version—complete with corks and wire cages—and, at this very minute, it’s on a ship approaching our shores, where it’s due to arrive any day (icebergs notwithstanding) for your closer-to-home client relations. When it gets here, expect something citrusy and yeasty, but a little less potent than your typical Belgian
Troubadour Blond
5 The Musketeers A deep blond beer with 6,5 % alc. and a second fermentation on the bottle. This second fermentation is responsible for the higher alcohol percentage and the further evolution of the beer in the bottle. When poured out in a suitable glass, ’Troubadour’ has a thick white tenacious head. The first contact with the tongue results in a lovely sparkling feeling. The flavour is characterised by a mild bitterness and is somewhat spicy, followed by a pleasant sweet aftertaste and dry finish. The aroma is mainly characterised by the spicy hop flavours, accompanied by a light fruity flavour. Troubadour Blond is an authentic beer, consisting of the basic elements : pilsner malt, water, hop and yeast.
Troubadour Westkust
5 The Musketeers Troubadour 'Westkust' is a dark, almost black beer with 9.2% alc with a hoppy aroma, roasted malt, coffee and light notes of chocolate and vanilla. Turbo Bam
6 Jolly Pumpkin Conceptualized to be the perfect beer to pair with a delicious slice of pizza, Turbo Bam delivers. A hefty portion of rye malt gives Turbo Bam an underlying spice that allows the coriander and Szechuan peppercorns to build upon. The normal Bam Biere hopping regime of Cascade and Crystal hops are accentuated with the inclusion of Amarillo hops and lemon peel, to put Turbo Bam into high gear with blasts of lemon, pineapple and mango.

Why Can't IBU?
4 Stillwater Artisanal The awesome Stillwater Artisanal has released another awesome beer. This time with a fancy label. 3D at that. This beer goes into the more hoppy direction starting at it’s base, a farmhouse ale to then become a very hoppy Belgian IPA. However, the hops are supposed to be stronger, hence the pun in the name. Aromas are of grassy, piney, floral and herbal hops, peppercorns, flowers, hibiscus, biscuit bread, clove spice, farmhouse hay, orange juice, citrus, black pepper, spices, apples, apricots and peach. The flavors are way more hoppy than your typical saison but not super bitter aggresiveness. Flavors include grassy, piney, floral and herbal hops, biscuit bread, spices, flowers, peppercorns, black pepper, hibiscus, cloves, lemon, honey, hints of tropical fruits, mango, apricots, peach, grapefruit and oranges The aftertaste is dry buts a nice floral and grassy hop finish. It is a easy to drink, crisp and refreshing.

This year’s brew becomes the next year’s release. Something magical happens to this beer during its long contact with the wood. The alcohol content of the beer pulls the bourbon, vanilla, & charred oak notes out of the barrels and melds it with the caramel richness of the quad.
Wolf 9 Ale
5 Brouwerij Lupus Pale ale with notes of banana and apricot.
Woody Stowaway
5 Right Brain Brewing From the amazing to the mundane, all things are eventually reclaimed by the forces that created them. Yeast is no exception. Bringing new meaning to the idea of ’trash as treasure,’ Stowaway Reclaimed Saison is equal parts science project and beer-making. Right Brain brewers have painstakingly cultivated the unique strain of yeast used in this brew from reconstituted sediment found in the bottom of ’empty’ beer bottles. Over a 7-month period, brewers patiently cultured and pampered less than a teaspoon of yeast until it propagated and grew strong enough to use in a commercial batch. A traditional Saison with a hazy golden color, fruit-forward aroma, crisp complex flavor, and mildly acidic finish.
